Spent the day at this beautiful bird conservation park, 15k out of Wyndham. Such a peaceful, amazing stretch of water in the middle of dry grassland. Lots of magpie geese, herons and ducks - no crocodiles sighted but they are here! So no painting from the banks. A large bird hide allows a good view of the lagoon and provided a perfect spot from which to paint. Unfortunately the painting was overdone, but I had a lovely time doing it!Very warm today in Wyndham so chose this site on the jetty, looking back at the landscape. Cooler breeze and the sound of water lapping made for a pleasant spot to paint. For a while, a group of young locals kept me entertained and managed to encourage one to paint some of my mangrove trees.
